What this site collects, and what it does not.

This is a static information website. It has no contact form, no user accounts, no analytics and no advertising or tracking cookies. The only personal data processed is what a web server unavoidably receives when a page is requested.

Server log data

When you open a page, the web server records the request in a log file. This log contains:

your IP address
the date and time of the request
the page or file requested
the HTTP status code and amount of data transferred
the referring page, if your browser sends one
your browser and operating system identifier

This data is used to deliver the site, keep it stable and detect attacks. It is not combined with other data and is not used to identify individual visitors. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, where the GDPR applies). Logs are deleted after 14 days unless a specific security incident requires them to be kept longer.

Hosting

The site is hosted on infrastructure operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. Hetzner processes the log data described above on behalf of the controller under a data processing agreement.

Content delivery and DNS

Domain, DNS and traffic delivery run through Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. All requests to this site pass through Cloudflare's network, which processes connection data including your IP address to route traffic, terminate TLS and filter malicious requests. Transfers to the United States are covered by the EU standard contractual clauses concluded with Cloudflare.

Fonts

Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When a page loads, your browser connects to Google servers and transmits your IP address to retrieve the font files. If you prefer to avoid this, you can block the domains fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com in your browser; the site remains fully readable with system fonts.

Email contact

If you write to the address above, your message and email address are processed to handle your enquiry and are kept as long as needed for that purpose or as required by applicable retention rules. Mail is hosted by Mailbox.org, Heinlein Hosting GmbH, Schwedter Str. 8/9b, 10119 Berlin, Germany.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare may set a technically necessary cookie to identify individual visitors as trustworthy and filter out malicious traffic; it is not used for tracking or profiling.

Your rights

Where data protection law applies to you, you have the right to request access to the personal data held about you, to have it corrected or erased, to have its processing restricted, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, write to the contact address above.
